Bende Gyulai Kolbász Hot

Red and green vacuum pack with chillies in the serving-suggestion photograph. Csípős is Hungarian for hot — this is the spicy version of Gyulai kolbász, the country's most famous sausage. Coarse-ground pork, heavily paprika'd and beechwood-smoked, with hot paprika giving it a genuine kick. Deep brick-red throughout.

The heat is the point. Ready to eat straight from the pack — slice it for a board, or fry it into lecsó, goulash, bean soup or eggs, where the paprika oil colours the whole dish. 11 g of protein per 2 oz.

Sells as a pair with the Bende Gyulai Kolbász Mild in this same folder — identical sausage, one with heat. An obvious two-product bundle for a Hungarian section.

Ingredients

Pork, salt, paprika, flavoring, sugar, dextrose, sodium lactate, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), lactic acid starter culture, sodium nitrite. Note: the heat comes through "paprika" and "flavoring" — no separate chilli ingredient is declared. So "hot" is a recipe distinction, not a visible ingredient difference from the Mild.
