Galil Walnut Coconut

Wide flat presentation tray with a vivid green and red floral band — the brightest pack in the Galil range. Walnut pieces set in lokum and rolled in desiccated coconut rather than icing sugar, so the pieces are white and shaggy rather than dusted.

Walnut is the least common lokum nut and gives a deeper, slightly tannic flavour that cuts the sweetness more than pistachio or almond do. The coconut coating adds texture and stops the pieces sticking. The only Galil variant with a coconut coating rather than an icing-sugar dust — worth mentioning, because it changes how it eats.
